Who will be chosen as our next

OUTSTANDING PERSON OF THE YEAR

in each of the categories in our DURANGO SCHOOL DISTRICT 9-R for 2008-2009

The Durango Foundation for Educational Excellence will once again present awards to OUTSTANDING School District 9-R employees at the DFEE 9-R Employee Appreciation Celebration.  DFEE will present a recognition award to one high school teacher, one middle school teacher, one elementary teacher, and three staff employees. Nominations for staff could include classified, professional/technical, adjunct, parent partners, etc. who either interact regularly with students or who provide significant support to staff who do. All awards are based on dedication, professionalism, and positive interaction with students and colleagues.  The intent of this program is to honor outstanding employees who help our students achieve their highest potential.  Nominations will be accepted from peers, students, parents, administrators, and community members.

Attached, please find a nomination form.  Forms are not to be passed out to students during classes (DHS students MAY complete forms during advisory). Additional forms are available from DFEE at 385-1491 or by email: dfee@durango.k12.co.us.

Nominations are due at DFEE NO LATER THAN 10:00 AM ON MONDAY, APRIL 20th.   Selection will be made by DFEE board members and award winners from previous years.  Awards will be presented at the DFEE 9-R EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION CELEBRATION in May 2009 (date to be announced) will be held at Pat Murphy Motors.  All employees nominated will be recognized at this event, which is designed as a celebration for all you do every day for our kids and education in our community!
