Michael Crane Memorial Arts Education Fund

 

Fund Purpose and Procedures

Purpose: The purpose of the Michael Crane Memorial Arts Education Fund is to promote and support arts education, including fine arts and performing arts education, for Durango District 9-R students. Priority will be given to programs and projects which support connections between 9-R schools/students and the local arts community.

Eligible Recipients: Funds will be used to support arts education programs within 9-R schools, and arts-related students groups and organizations with substantial 9-R students participation. Funds will no be granted to individuals.

Disbursement of Funds: Funds will be disbursed at the recommendation of DFEE's scholarship committee, subject to the final approval of the Board of Trustees. Disbursements will be based on the committee's ongoing assessment of needs and opportunities within the 9-R school district and the local arts community.

The committee will establish such procedures and criteria for allocation of funds which it deems appropriate.
