DFEE Supporters Raise Funds for Education in 2011 Tom Hartney Golf Tournament
The 18th Annual Golf Tournament was held on May 20, 2011 at Dalton Ranch. This scramble tournament is dedicated to the late Tom Hartney for his contributions to education. Tournament funds are used to support educational and incentive programs for students and teachers in Durango School District 9-R that fall outside the scope of the 9-R budget. This year, the tournament provided $20,000 for 9-R programs. Thanks to all who make this event a great success!
This tournament has grown year after year and is one of the foundation’s biggest fundraisers. Typically, there are 20 to 25 teams participating. Sponsorships include Title Sponsors between $3000 and $5000, A+ Sponsors for $1000 and Hole Sponsors for $200.
