Who We Are

 The Durango Foundation for Educational Excellence is a community organization of dedicated volunteers who develop resources to encourage and recognize educational improvement and excellence for all students in Durango School District 9-R.   

The purpose of DFEE is to enhance educational excellence within the rural district by providing funding for projects and programs that fall outside the possibilities of the district budget.  These crucial programs and projects would otherwise be unavailable to our local students.

It is the goal of DFEE to build a 2.5 million dollar foundation fund.  This will ensure the long-term sustainability of DFEE and provide support for our students for generations to come. While the demand for quality education is increasing, traditional sources of public school revenue are failing to keep pace with rising educational costs.  DFEE is willing to meet this challenge.
