Funding Guidelines
DFEE PROJECT/PROGRAM FUNDING PROPOSAL
BEFORE PREPARING A PROGRAM APPLICATION PLEASE CONTACT THE DFEE OFFICE TO ENSURE THAT THE PROPOSED PROJECT WILL MEET BASIC DFEE GUIDELINES.
Applications for DFEE funding will be accepted for the following:
- Innovative programs including:
- Incentive programs and Innovative Programs
- Accelerated programs
- Enrichment Programs
- Programs for disadvantaged/challenged students
- Programs that meet the DFEE guidelines take place before, during, or after school and fall outside the possibilities of the Durango School District 9-R budget.
- Programs that have been identified as a priority by the schools through administration/teacher/student/parent input.
- Proposals will have the endorsement of and demonstrate collaboration between administrators, teaching staff, business services and student achievement.
- Programs that are based on accepted research and are student focused.
- Programs that impact as many students as possible.
- Programs that are directed initially to one level of grades (K-5, middle school, high school) and that could be expanded to other levels after the program’s merits are proven.
Funding will be formally evaluated by the end-users (students and teachers). The DFEE will require periodic evaluations to be sent to our office. Please note that failure to submit program evaluations by the required deadlines may result in a delay in refunding the program and/or other programs within Durango School District 9-R.
As part of the DFEE program evaluation, a list of ways that DFEE was acknowledged for having provided funding for any program should be included. Copies of press and other acknowledgements will be required as attachments. A formal letter of acknowledgement of the project funding received is required within 30 days of the DFEE funding announcement.
Funding for programs will be annually evaluated by the full DFEE board of directors and reviewed for continuation of funding.
Proposed programs/projects that reflect the scope of DFEE funding will typically reflect a budget from $2,000-$40,000.
Deadline for submission: February 15th, 2009
