The Durango Foundation for Educational
Excellence (DFEE) is a charitable non-profit organization
with tax-exempt 501(c)(3) status.
The organization has been serving the students and teachers
of the Durango School District 9-R since 1984. Though
DFEE was established in order to support educational
excellence specifically for the students in the Durango
School District 9-R, DFEE operates independently from
the district as a charitable non-profit organization.
This year DFEE provided over $100,000
in funding to support educational excellence for our
local students. DFEE funded projects recently included
district-wide incentive and character building programs,
the rebirth of the foreign language program at the 8th
grade level in both middle schools, music technology,
accelerated math, science and engineering and social
emotional learning.
